Scholarship Application

Midland Festival Ballet offers a limited number of School Year Tuition Scholarships based on financial need. Our ballet school strives to offer children ages 3+ and adults of all ages the finest dance training in an encouraging and professional environment. Awards are dependent upon contributed income, and careful consideration is given to all requests for assistance. While Midland Festival Ballet would love to award all applicants, scholarship funds are limited and not all requests can be filled.

Scholarship and financial aid are awarded for one school year of classes (summer classes are not included). Applications must be submitted at the beginning of the year by August 1. Once you have filled out the application form below, a staff member will reach out to confirm receipt and request a copy of your most recent form 1040 tax return.

Scholarships will be awarded for dance instruction only (not including Summer Classes); School registration ($50), Company fees, production fees, dancewear, shoes, and Regional Dance America/Southwest fees and travel expenses (if applicable) are not included. Applications will not be accepted for any student with an unpaid balance. All scholarship awardees or parent/guardian will be required to submit a letter (two paragraphs long) to the Board of Directors at the completion of the scholarship year as a statement of their progress and/or volunteer service experience.

MFB’s Board of Directors has a Scholarship Committee that oversees our scholarship process ensuring decisions are made fairly.
