Dress Code

Students are required to abide by the Midland Festival Ballet Dress Code/Uniform in order to participate in class.
All items are SoDanca brand unless otherwise noted and can be purchased at
SoDanca+ and/or Jai La Pointe (Got the Pointe) at 469.920.5430
Shoe fittings and sizing leotards are available at the MFB studios. Contact MFB to Schedule.

ALL STUDENTS

  • MFB has a two-strike uniform policy. If a student comes more than two times without their uniform, they will be asked to sit and observe class.

  • Hair - For ladies, hair must be secured in a bun using hair and/or bobby pins. For gentlemen, hair must be secured off the neck and out of the face. Dancers will not be allowed to enter class if hair is not appropriately secured. 

  • Female students should not wear underwear/panties underneath their tights and leotards. Tights are made with a built-in cotton gusset for this purpose. 

  • No jewelry except for small stud earrings for pierced ears. This includes rings, bracelets, necklaces and permanent soldered jewelry.  

  • Tutus, skirts, and other warm-ups will not be allowed in class unless designated by instructor for levels Ballet 5 and up.  

  • Students must wear appropriate street clothing & footwear over dance attire when arriving/departing from the studio. A cover up can be as simple as a t shirt or shorts over your dancer’s leotard and tights.

  • Dancers may not wear ballet slippers outside as street shoes. Oil, tar, dirt, and debris can easily damage our studio’s brand-new vinyl dance floors. If we see students enter the lobby wearing their ballet slippers, they will not be allowed to wear them into class.

  • Bullet Pointe Skirt (Ballet 6 & 7)
