Hanna Pierce

Hanna grew up in Midland. Texas training at the School of Midland Festival Ballet. She was awarded multiple scholarships to train in the summers at highly respected school such as Milwaukee Ballet School, Orlando Ballet School, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Joffery Academy of Burklyn Ballet Theatre, and the Glenda Brown Choreography Project. Following high school Hanna attended the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program  in San Francisco on scholarship. There she had the privilege of dancing and being under Alonzo's eye. She also was able to work with many well known choreographers, companies, and teachers such as Maurya Kerr, Lee Wei Chao, VimVigor, Sidra Bell, Kyle Abraham Company, Martha Graham Company, Gregory Dawson, and the Company Wayne McGregor. Following her training she moved to St.Louis to dance with Common Thread Contemporary Ballet under the director Jennifer Medina. She currently does project work in the area performing with upcoming choreographers and companies. Hanna also teaches and dances at Convergence Body and Dance Center. She currently competes in the Professional Latin Division in ballroom dance while also performing stage tango and salsa. A recent achievement includes  receiving her apprenticeship in The Gyrotonic Expansion Method. Hannabelieves without her ballet training at Midland Festival Ballet these professional opportunities would not be possible.
