Ballet - Founded by Judy Coleman for the purpose of promoting dance in the Permian Basin, Midland Festival Ballet is now in its 15th season. The mission of Midland Festival Ballet is to:
Develop the skills and expand the artistic potential of ballet and young dancers.
To provide quality ballet and dance performance opportunities for them.
Further public appreciation of the art of classical ballet as a vibrant part of the community.
The Ballet Company has grown from having one annual performance of "The Nutcracker" to presenting a season that includes ballet and dance performances at Septemberfest, Celebration of the Arts, a Spring Gala, and "The Nutcracker" with the Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale.
Guest artists from major ballet companies such as New York City Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet of England, and Milwaukee Ballet perform with Midland Festival Ballet in "The Nutcracker" and Spring Gala performances. Midland Festival Ballet is a member of Regional Dance America/Southwest as a Performing Company. We would like you to sign our guest book!
